Swedish fettfena nonsense is big boost for Bornholm tourism

Being back from Bornholm a few thoughts about the fishing, which was just average compared to last year, due to several reasons.
The mild winter and the above normal water temperatures had made the fish moving already, the first week we had strong eastern wind preventing fishing in the preferred spots and after years of spoons ruling the fishing, this year it was "löja" fishing which was far superior which can be seen on the results of the TMB, where the first 3 teams were Löja fisher from Finland, I just managed to fish the last 2 days with bait fish.
Finally it is to mention that the Swedish idiot fettfena rules are a multi million Kroner boost to Bornholm tourism, while their harbors were all packed with boats you could find in Swedish harbors only a few local catch and release masochists saving the fettfena world.

Last day fishing Bornholm, 4 salmon again

Last day fishing gave 4 salmon, all on baitfish, between 4 and 6 kg as well as one released and 2 lost. Tomorrow moving back to Mossen.

4 salmon

Changed from spoons to baitfish today with some improvement. I got 4 salmon between 5 and 7kg and had to stop around noon due to hard wind.

1 salmon

Another day with 1 fish only, a salmon of 10.2 kg as well as 3 small ones.

Difficult fishing

The last 2 days were a bit difficult for me, I caught only 1 salmon each day being 8 and 6 kg. Now the wind is changing direction and brings hopefully new fish to the island

Salmon 11.8 kg

A salmon of 11.8 kg was the biggest today as well as 3 of 5 kg each and some small ones released.
Tomorrow will be a day off due to wind.

4 salmon

Todays fishing gave 4 salmon, 10.5, 9.2 and 2 x 4 kg as well as some small ones and a number of empty strikes.

2 salmon again

After a day without anything and a day off I went out late today and got 2 salmon being 9.5 and 4 kg as well as one small released.

1 salmon 10kg

Todays half day outing brought 1 salmon of 10 kg.

3 salmon

Yesterdays fishing gave 3 salmon being 11, 5 and 4 kg as well as 1 lost.

2 salmon

After changing boat batteries in the morning I went out at 10:00 AM and caught 2 nice salmon of 7.5 and 9.6 kg as well as 4 small ones and lost 1. Next 2 days will be off due to much wind.

On Bornholm

After a long trip from Berlin to Mellerud and back to Ystad we reached Bornholm today and have launched the boat in Hasle harbor. Fishing will start tomorrow after the exchange of the boat batteries, which have quit the service after 6 years. We are in hope of nice catches although the weather forecast doesn't look good for the coming days.
