This years fishing season is concluded. The last 2 days were without a fish. The boat will be out of the water tomorrow and were going back to Germany on Monday.
Complete I caught 16 fish, total weight 92 kg. But apart from the 10+ on Vänern, the fishing was below average. Remarkable is that the biggest fish was from Vänern, were the average weight of the salmon is half of them in the Baltic sea.

Empty water
Todays trip gave only 1 small salmon. The Swedish waters looking to be empty, so a change in the tactic will be needed tomorrow.

2nd Bornholm trip
The 2nd Bornholm trip gave 1 salmon of 6 kg. The last 3 days will be fished in Swedish waters.

Bornholm trip
As the Swedish waters were not productive the last days I decided to go to danish waters near Bornholm. The result, 1 Salmon of 3.5kg and a Seatrout of 6.5 kg. Tomorrow will be the same destination as there were some big fish caught today.

The weather does it again
A new high pressure area with a lot of sun and no wind is messing up the fishing again. It will be tough to get something in the next days. Today was zero again.

Nice day on the water
After a windy and foggy morning the weather changed to almost perfect. I had 2 strikes, which resulted in 1 salmon of 8.5 kg and and an empty hook. The first big fish are coming in, so hopefully there will be soon a big fish day in Simrishamn.

2nd day, 2 fish
The second day was even better than the first. I caught 2 salmon, 7.7 and 7.0 kg. The weather looks good and the fish are coming.

First Day Simrishamn
We arrived yesterday afternoon in Simrishamn and were greeted by a strong and cold eastern wind and only 5 degrees centigrade. We put the boat in the water and moved into our rented house. Today I went out late, because of the bad weather forecast, which was once more wrong. I started fishing at 12.00 o'clock and got one salmon at 3.00 PM. The fish was 8.5 kg. Not bad for the first day as the fishing was not good in the last week.
