2 salmon

Today's venture to the west gave 2 salmon being 10 and 7 kg, Yesterday I had one 6 kg and a small one. Overall,  poor fishing up to now.

Bornholm, first day fishing, 1 salmon

We arrived on Bornholm around noon time yesterday. Still suffering from a very bad cold, which I acquired last week, I could fish a few hours this afternoon and caught one salmon of 9.1 kg .

Easter hunting on Usedom

We spent the Eastern days on Usedom hunting wild boar. I could shoot 2 male boar being 70 and 35 kg.
Next is trolling for salmon around Bornholm.

End of the year hunting on Usedom

This years end of the year hunting took place in our hunting area on Usedom.
The first days were with cold weather followed by mild weather with western wind.
I could shoot 1 Greylag Goose, 1 Hare, 1 Roe deer kid on the last day of the year and 1 Boar on the 1st of January.
A good ending of the old year and as well as a good start in the New Year 2015.

Roe deer and Geese

The last 2 weekends I hunted the first time for Geese with decoys and layout blind. A lot to learn and gaining experience was the target and getting at least a few birds, which I could manage. In total 6 Geese being 2 Greylags, 3 White fronted Geese and 1 Bean Geese was the harvest and a lot of past by opportunities. On Sunday afternoon of the first weekend I further could shoot a Roe Deer Doe and Kid within the time of 30 seconds.

Moose hunt over

Today result was a shot cow and a calf, so our quota was filled and this years hunt is over.

2nd Sweden Moose

Today was the first day of our Moose hunt in Värmland. I shot a Cow Moose, my 2nd Moose in Sweden, further one calf was shot. Tomrrow we'll continue as one adult and one calf are left on the quota.

Roe buck hunting in the rutt

The last 2 weekends I hunted again in our area on Usedom. The roe buck are now in the rutting season and I could shoot 2 nice bucks, 2 wild boar in the 50 kg class during the grain harvest as well as 3 foxes.

1st trip to new hunting ground

Last weekend we had our first trip to a new acquired hunting area on the nice Baltic island Usedom. On several outings I saw a lot of Roe deer and shot 2 nice Bucks, only the boar were not behaving well. So we'll try them again next weekend.

Swedish fettfena nonsense is big boost for Bornholm tourism

Being back from Bornholm a few thoughts about the fishing, which was just average compared to last year, due to several reasons.
The mild winter and the above normal water temperatures had made the fish moving already, the first week we had strong eastern wind preventing fishing in the preferred spots and after years of spoons ruling the fishing, this year it was "löja" fishing which was far superior which can be seen on the results of the TMB, where the first 3 teams were Löja fisher from Finland, I just managed to fish the last 2 days with bait fish.
Finally it is to mention that the Swedish idiot fettfena rules are a multi million Kroner boost to Bornholm tourism, while their harbors were all packed with boats you could find in Swedish harbors only a few local catch and release masochists saving the fettfena world.

Last day fishing Bornholm, 4 salmon again

Last day fishing gave 4 salmon, all on baitfish, between 4 and 6 kg as well as one released and 2 lost. Tomorrow moving back to Mossen.

Changed from spoons to baitfish today with some improvement. I got 4 salmon between 5 and 7kg and had to stop around noon due to hard wind.
